3520181 - How to activate search connector for FIORI app

Symptom

As suggested in SAP Fiori Apps Reference Library (SAP Fiori Apps Reference Library (ondemand.com) ), search connectors need to be activated in the back-end system. For example, for F1639A - My Purchase Requisitions - New, the following search connectors are needed:
Application Component MM-PUR-REQ
MM_PUR_CTLG_SRH        
MM_PUR_CTLG_ATTCH            
MM_PUR_CTLG_ATTRB            
MM_PUR_CTLG_CUST_FLD            
MM_PUR_CTLG_PRC_CON            
MM_PUR_CTLG_SRCHTRM

But it is not clear how to achieve it.
