3520247 - Data Source "Registered Product Movement History" Displays Unexpected Date

When search serial number ABC (ABC represents serial ID) in data source "Registered Product Movement History" (REG_PROD_MH) , it displays unexpected value in characteristic "Date".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to work center Business Analytics.
2. Access view Design Data Sources.
3. Search "Registered Product Movement History" (REG_PROD_MH), click Preview.
4. Under Selection, enter ABC in filter Serial ID, click Apply.
5. Under View, add all available fields into row. In the result, for movement document DEF (DEF represents document ID), Date is DD_MM_YYYY_1.
6. Check the master data of this serial number ABC, under tab Detailed Inventory Tracking, document DEF has date as DD_MM_YYYY_2.

The “Date” in data source REG_PROD_MH represents the last change date of the registered product, while in registered product master data, under tab Detailed Inventory Tracking, the date represents:

• Actual executed on date of Goods and Activity Confirmation.
• Production end date of production lot.
• Delivery date of outbound delivery.

This is system current behavior.

We have created an internal ticket for this and plan to improve this data source in the future.
