3520354 - LNX: S/4HANA Appliance Installation Error: Missing libatomic.so.1 Library

Symptom

  • During the installation of the SAP S/4HANA 2023 (FPS01) Fully-Activated Appliance or HANA database, an error occurs.
  • The error message indicates a missing shared library: "error while loading shared libraries: libatomic.so.1 can not open shared object file: no such file directory".
  • The program terminates with exit code 127.
  • Despite following SAP Note 3216146, the issue persists.
