3520985 - Import of Transport package fails due "Invalid wave item id"

When importing a transport, it fails with errors and warnings below:

The content 'Content_name' was not imported.

This package was created with an older version of SAP Analytics Cloud and its contents may not work with your current version.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

SAP Datasphere

SAP Datasphere tenants check if source and target tenants have compatible Platform versions.

To avoid inconsistencies, it is not possible to import packages when source and target tenants do not share same version. 

The platform version should normally be the same in all SAP Datasphere tenants.
Under exceptional circumstances, it may happen that Datasphere tenants in same region have different Platform Versions.

The fix for this platform version unsynced happens exclusively during "Platform version" upgrade happens during Datasphere's maintenance windows (3h) every weekend.
Even though is not guaranteed the sync happens in next scheduled maintenance window.
It's not possible to upgrade platform for a single tenant, therefore Maintenance Window is mandatory to perform such action. 

As a temporary workaround, proceed:

1. Request Datasphere support team to get toggle "OVERRIDE_IMPORT_VERSION_CHECK" enabled in target tenant.
   This enablement will be confirmed by Datasphere Support expert in ticket.

2. From source tenant, Download the package (that is required for transport) into local as .package Files.
   
   

3. In Target, upload these .package files

4. Once packages are uploaded, trigger import of these packages.

Important! This change must be reverted after tenants are again with same Platform versions.
