3521454 - Fields Pre-Fill With Employee's Existing Data For "Rehire On New Employment" Even When "Default Personal Information During Rehire" Is Set To "No" - 1H2024

When the "Default Personal Information During Rehire" setting is set to "No" in the "Hire/Rehire Configuration" in "Manage Data", you find that during "Rehire On Old Employment", items such as 'Name Information', 'Biographical Information' and 'Personal Information' are not pre-filled when using the 'Rehire Inactive Employee' tool, or the 'Accept Match' feature via 'Add New Employee'.

However, when you are doing a "Rehire On New Employment", these fields are pre-filled from the previous employment unexpectedly.

1. Go to 'Manage Data'
2. Look for the 'Hire/Rehire Configuration' object
3. Confirm that the "Default Personal Information During Rehire" setting is set to "No"
4. Go to 'Rehire Inactive Employee' and choose to 'Rehire', to rehire on the old employment
5. See that information such as 'Name Information', 'Biographical Information', 'National ID', etc. are not pre-filled from the employment's existing information
6. Go to 'Rehire Inactive Employee' and choose to 'Rehire On New Employment'
7. See that information such as 'Name Information', 'Biographical Information', 'National ID', etc. are pre-filled from the previous employment's information unexpectedly

Code issue

This issue has been patched with PTCH-44909 as of November 5th, 2024, and is currently planned to be fully resolved with the 2505 release, but this is not yet definitively confirmed - you can contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for them to track the fix.

With the fix, the expected behaviour is that the 'Name Information', 'Biographical Information', 'National ID', etc. will be pre-filled in both "Rehire On Old Employment" and "Rehire On New Employment" scenarios if you have 'Default Personal Information During Rehire' set to "Yes". If you have 'Default Personal Information During Rehire' set to "No", the information will not pre-fill for "Rehire On Old Employment" and "Rehire On New Employment" scenarios.
