3522175 - Error - 'Referenced customer return not found (Inbound Delivery 'ABC')' occurs in the Warehouse Confirmation

A number of Warehouse Confirmation appears as Unposted Source Document with the Error 'Referenced customer return not found (Inbound Delivery 'ABC')'.

'ABC' - refers to the Inbound delivery ID.

SAP Business ByDesign 

1. Go to the General Ledger Work Center.
2. Go to the source documents sub view.
3. Filter for Unposted Source Documents.
4. Search for the relevant Warehouse Confirmations.

You will see the error message: Referenced customer return not found (Inbound Delivery 'ABC').

When you checked in the UI, you can be able to see that the documents seem consistent with Inbound delivery is in released status and Customer return is in completed status, but the company utilized in the Warehouse confirmations 'AAA' differs from the company in Customer returns 'BBB'

For example, in the Warehouse Confirmation 'AAA', we are getting the error "Referenced customer return not found (Inbound Delivery 'ABC') " because related Customer return 'BBB' created with company 'A00' which is different from the Warehouse Confirmation company 'B00' and because of this the Warehouse confirmation documents are not getting posted.

'AAA' - refers to the Warehouse Confirmation ID.

'BBB' - refers to Customer Return ID

'A00' - Company ID for Customer Return

'B00' - Company ID for Warehouse Confirmation

It is not possible to post the Warehouse confirmation 'AAA' and Customer Return 'BBB' utilizing the different companies.

You need to cancel the Customer returns 'BBB' and create new Customer return providing the proper company ids to resolve this error.
