Is it possible to create the billing number range financial year wise?

In Billing Scenario, only the year of billing date is provided as a standard parameter. It is recommended to check with the developer if the financial year can be stored in a custom field, if yes, it is possible to use the Flexible Billing Document numbering as stated in SAP Help Portal Flexible Billing Document Numbering: "Custom fields that have been added to the billing document header through extensibility can also be evaluated to determine a specific number range interval and prefix."
