3522889 - SAP Analytics Cloud: Not receiving E-mail Notifications After Activation of Calendar Tasks

After the creation and activation of a calendar task in SAP Analytics Cloud, no e-mail notification is sent to the participants.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.2.16

1. Create a task.
2. Add the assignee and reviewer.
3. Update the task.
4. Activate the task.
5. Check the mailbox, there is no email received.

The issue could be related to incorrect notification settings.

Follow the steps below to make sure your system is correctly configured:

1. The notification settings are correctly saved in the Administration settings.
   1. From the side navigation bar, go to System > Administration > Notifications tab.
   2. Scroll down to Calendar Notifications.
   3. Make sure all required notifications are correctly set for Owner/Assignee/Reviewer/Viewer.
      
      
      
      
2. Ensure that all task participants have enabled the System Notifications in their Profile Settings.
   
    

The second step can also be applied to all users. An admin must:

1. Go to System > Administration > Default Appearance.
2. Scroll down to the Global user preference settings.
3. In it, check the System notifications checkbox.
4. Activate the switch Apply the global user preference settings to all existing users.
5. Scroll to the bottom and hit Save.
6. Hit Refresh in the pop-up.
