Symptom

This article describes how to add Subaccount of Datasphere to Cloud Connector 2.17.0 above.

Environment

  • SAP Datasphere
  • SAP Cloud Connector 2.17.0 above

Resolution

  • Option 1 : Configure manually
  1. Find the information of the Subaccount in SAP Datasphere.
    1. Log in to SAP Datasphere.
    2. In the side navigation area, click  "System", "Administration", "Data Source Configuration".
    3. The information of Subaccount is in section "SAP BTP Core Account".

  2. Configure the Cloud Connector with the information manually.
    1. Log in to the Cloud Connector.
    2. Click "Add subaccount".
    3. Select "Configure manually".
    4. Input the information of the Subaccount in SAP Datasphere.

      Make sure that the e-mail address is associated with an active S-User ID. To avoid login issues, the e-mail must be associated to 1 S-user ID only. To validate the password try to login to https://accounts.sap.com with the same credentials entered in the Cloud Connector. If the login fails, use the "Forgot Password" link in the logon page to reset the password. Check the details in KBA 3462061.
    5. Click Finish.
  • Option 2 : Use authentication data file
     
    Only for BTP Enterprise Agreement (BTPEA/CPEA) Datasphere tenants.  
  1. Download the authentication data file.
    1. Log in to the BTP Cockpit.
    2. Select the Datasphere subaccount.
    3. Navigate to "Connectivity" and then to "Cloud Connectors".
    4. Click on the blue "Download Authentication Data" button.
    5. The authentication.data file will be downloaded.
  2. Configure the Cloud Connector using the downloaded authentication data file.
    1. Log in to the Cloud Connector.
    2. Click "Add subaccount".
    3. Select "Configure using authentication data from file".
    4. Choose the authentication.data file downloaded from the BTP subaccount.
    5. Click "Next".
    6. Click "Finish".
