Resolution
The job skills relate to the requisition data and are extracted using the Natural Language Processing technique. They are identified by analyzing all the externally or internally posted fields and sections of the job profile.
They are labelled Key and Relevant skills on the career site and on the RCM side they are referred to as Primary and Secondary skills.
To assign the value of Primary or Secondary, we compare the extracted Job Skills list to a standard ontology of Professions.
We then identify the skills for these related professions to determine the Profession Skills. The intersection of the Job Skills and the Profession Skills becomes the Primary skills on the job.
The Job Skills which do not have a Profession Skill match become the Secondary skills on the job.
To give more control to recruiters on this process, the feature AI-Assisted Skills Validation for Job Requisitions is launched with the 2H2024 release.
The Manage skills feature on the Job Requisition details page allows recruiters to review and refine the skills in the requisition to control the visibility of the skills listed in the job posting on the career site.
They can add and remove skills, change the suggested value of Primary or Secondary, search for skills from the universal skills taxonomy and add them as skills required for a job.
For more information on the feature please review the help topic : Validating Skills in a Job Description.
