3523680 - Language Translation Incorrect - Background Element Validation Error Message

Language Translation Shows Incorrectly for Background Elements Fields in Standard Validation Error Message.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Change the system language to other language, for example Spanish.
2. Search any employee.
3. Go to Background Element Portlet (Example Education Element).
4. Enter Education details with Years field above maximum length digits as per configuration.
5. save it and then verify the standard validation error message in Spanish language.
6. The validation error message is showing in correct language except the field “Years”, which is showing the Field ID where it should be “Años” as per Spanish translation.

It is expected behavior as per system design.

• Currently, It is considered as a product enhancement.
• This behavior will be changed in the upcoming releases in near future where instead field label will be used based on language selected and displayed as per translation label for standard validation error messages.
