Symptom
An error occurs when attempting to modify the termination record in the job information for a contingent worker.
The system raises the following error message.
"This item (Work Order) doesn’t exist for your selection (Job History) for the record start date ___ for user ___. Verify that the two start dates correspond."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Contingent Workforce
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the profile of the employee.
- Edit the termination record of the Job Information.
- Save the change.
- The system raises the error message.
Cause
The error message is expected behaviour. The attempt to edit the termination record is outside of the user's active employment and Work Order.
Resolution
- Data changes need to be added with an effective date that is during the employee's active time of employment.
- It is not possible to change the data once the employee is inactive as it will not align with the Work Order record.
- Complete the modifications with a date before the termination date.
