3524313 - Unable to publish Custom Field with error: Enhancement Category of object '<Table>' is more restrictive than of '<...>_EEW_<...>'

Symptom

  • Publishing Custom Field fails.
  • In transaction  SCFD_LOG, for the affected Custom Field, in the details section you see errors of the type:

Return Code: 8. Object type: TABL. Object name:<table name>. Enhancement Category of object '<table name>' is more restrictive than of '<Business context´s Persistence Include>'.

  • In SE11, <table name>  is not classified with regards to the enhancement category (#UNCLASSIFIED, enhancement category '0').
