3525381 - "Account Already Exists" Error when using Invite to Apply with Quick Apply enabled - Recruiting Management

When inviting a candidate to apply to a job requisition while Quick Apply is active after they have already applied to a different position with Quick Apply, the system does not display previously entered data and recognizes that the candidate already has an account thereby preventing the completion of a second application.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Candidate applies to job requisition X using quick apply;
2. Candidate gets forwarded to job requisition X to job requisition Y, which also has quick apply;
3. Operator sends Invite Candidate to Apply email to candidate;
4. Candidates click on the link generated by the [[INVITE_LINK]] token;
5. Candidate fills all fields and click on the apply button;
6. Receive a message saying the account already exists.

This is expected behaviour. When a candidate applies using Quick Apply, the account creation occurs simultaneously with their application. If a candidate is forwarded to another job requisition after applying with Quick Apply, the optimal solution would sending the candidate to a job requisition without Quick Apply.

When Quick Apply is not enabled in the second job requisition, the 'Invite to Apply' will trigger a more comprehensive application process where the candidate will be redirected directly to the login page. Otherwise the candidates will have to click on the 'Please Sign In' button in the quick apply page to login and finish their application.
