3525597 - Does deleting any folder, task, or object in SAP Signavio after syncing the hierarchy to Solution Manager, and then syncing the same hierarchy back to Solution Manager, affect the synchronization?

Symptom

Query: - Does deleting any folder, task, or object in SAP Signavio after syncing the hierarchy to Solution Manager, and then syncing the same hierarchy back to Solution Manager, affect the synchronization?

Resolution

From page 30 in the guide (Best Practice Guide_SAP Signavio-SAP Solution Manager Integration_06092023.pdf) linked to at the bottom of this page: https://help.sap.com/docs/signavio-process-transformation-suite/business-process-model-connector/synchronization-objects-and-functionality

Specific Use Cases
Handling Deletion of Objects

Deletion of objects is currently not supported. Some other aspects which need to be considered:

- Any objects that were synchronized at least once in SAP Signavio or SAP Solution Manager must
not be deleted
- If any of synchronized objects are deleted, synchronization will be inconsistent and will run into an
error
- In SAP Signavio, additional folders or models could be created called Archived Objects to manage
manual archiving of the objects that are no longer required
- In SAP Signavio, an additional prefix or term in the object name can be used to flag and identify the
objects that are no longer required
- In SAP Solution Manager, it will be reflected via the next follow up update synchronization and
objects will be changed and moved to the archived folders (scenarios or processes) accordingly
Process structure and its objects should not be changed in SAP Solution Manager manually (outside
of synchronization) because it can lead to inconsistencies
