3525620 - Delivery date is not at start of Planning Period

Symptom

When planning a material using a planning calendar with lot-size procedure PK,
checking the planning results, the delivery dates of procurement proposals are not set to the start of the planning calendar period as expected.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Cause

The cause is generally incorrect customizing of the lot-size procedure PK (SSCUI 101112 ).

Resolution

Check the customizing in SSCUI 101112.  For the delivery date  to occur at the start of the planning calendar period, make the following settings for lot-size procedure PK:
Set parameter Scheduling  to ' '
Set parameter Date Interpretation  to '1'

Please note, however, that with the above settings, availability will not occur at the start of the period for materials that have a GR processing time in the Material Master - for example:
Planning calendar period: Wed to Tue
           GR processing time:       2 days
==> Delivery date on Wednesday, goods available on Friday

If, in such a scenario, it is required that the availability date rather than the delivery date occurs at the start of the period, then the following settings should be made in customizing:
           Set parameter Scheduling to '1'
Set parameter Date Interpretation to ' '

For the above example with these customizing settings, the goods would be available on Wednesday, with the delivery date occurring on Monday.
