3525942 - Accessibility Issue in Leave Request App: Back Button is not being properly recognized by Screen Reader

Symptom

  • In the Leave Request application (or any UI technology based on Unified Rendering) , some error messages feature an arrow icon for accessing additional information.
  • Upon accessing the additional information, a pop-up window with a back button appears.
  • This back button does not interact properly with screen readers.
  • When focusing on the button using the TAB key, the only announcement made is "back", without any indication that it is a button.
  • There is no output on the Braille display when the button is focused.
  • During linear reading, there is no screen reader announcement at all, neither acoustically nor on the Braille display.
