Symptom
During rehire of a user, the portlet Employee Cost Assignment is not displayed when Accept Match is set to Yes.

Reproducing the Issue
- Ensure that Hire templates are maintained in the instance.
- In the Add New Hire page/tool, select Standard Template.
- You can see Employee Cost Assignment portlet is available at the bottom.
- Enter Name details of a terminated user who should be rehired.
- Click on Accept Match in the subsequent pop-up.
- Reselect the Event Reason and Standard Template.
- Now the portlet Employee Cost Assignment is missing.
Cause
It is a defect in 2H 2024 release.
Resolution
The Engineering Team are investigating the issue. They are currently planning to fix it in 1H 2025 release, however it's not yet confirmed. This KBA will be updated when we have more details about the fix dates or any possible work around.

Workaround: This issue occurs only when the setting Default Personal Information during rehire in Manage Data > Hire/Rehire Configuration: MATCHINGUSERCONFIG is set to No. As a workaround, you can set this to Yes.
