3528096 - Enhancements to Internal Hire Process

• Workflow, cross-entity rule, and position updates for the internal hire onboarding process initiated from RCM are now supported.
  
• This enhancement allows to leverage the existing workflow rules which are used in Employee Central MSS data updates.
• When a recruiter initiates onboarding for an internal hire, the configured workflow rule is evaluated. Based on the rule, the workflow is triggered. Once the workflow participants take the necessary action, the workflow status is updated in Recruiting.

Prerequisites:

• Ensure that the Latest Applicant Workbench has been enabled in recruiting. Please see KBA 3369122: Redesigned Applicant Management Workbench - Recruiting Management for more information on new recruiting UI.

Configuration Requirements:

1. Enable Onboarding General Settings > Enable Enhanced Internal Hire Process > Enable Additional Internal Hire Activities switch.
   
   
      
   
2. Define the approvers, triggers, and notifications in order to configure the workflow. See implementation guide: Setting Up Workflows.
   
   
3. When a recruiter initiates onboarding for an internal hire, the configured workflow rule is evaluated.
   
   
4. Based on the rule, the workflow is triggered. Once the workflow participants take the necessary action, the workflow status is updated in Recruiting.
