3528129 - Internal User Is Redirected to New Hire Details Page Instead of Home Page After Canceling an Onboarding Action - Onboarding

When an internal user or Hiring Manager cancels or closes an Onboarding action (New Hire Data Review, Form I-9 Section 2, or E-Verify) without submitting, the system redirects to the New Hire Details page instead of the Home page.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 

1. Log in as an internal user or Hiring Manager.
2. Navigate to the Onboarding Dashboard and open a candidate record.
3. Click Start for New Hire Data Review (or Form I-9 Section 2, or E-Verify) from the New Hire Details page.
4. Click Cancel or close the action without submitting.
5. Observe that the system redirects to the New Hire Details page, not the Home page.

As of the 2411 release, the redirect destination after canceling or closing an Onboarding action is determined by the entry point of the action. When initiated from the New Hire Details page, the system redirects back to that page on cancel or close. This behavior was introduced to preserve navigation context and reduce unintended page transitions during multi-step Onboarding workflows.

The redirect behavior is by design and follows this logic:

1. If the action is initiated from the ToDo Tile or Home Page card, the system redirects to the Home page on cancel or completion.
2. If the action is initiated from the New Hire Details page, the system redirects back to the New Hire Details page on cancel or completion.
