3528682 - JobInfo Attachment is removed if No Attachment is uploaded during Termination in SAP SuccessFactors

Symptom

The JobInfo attachment is removed when no attachment is maintained during termination.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

  • Termination

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attachement is maintained in last Job Information record
  2. Apply Termination, no attachment is uploaded during termination
  3. After termination process is finished, check the Termination record in Job Information, attachment is removed.

Cause

The Attachment field in the Termination page is actually the same field as the Attachment field in Job Information. 

Resolution

Create a cross-entity rule to set the attachment field value, scenario is Trigger Cross-Entity Rules, base object is Employment Details model.

  1. If an attachment is uploaded during termination, use the new attachment.
  2. If an attachment is not uploaded during termination, use the previous Job Information attachment.
