3528716 - Discrepancy in Learning Needs Report in SAP SuccessFactors Learning

• The Standard Report: Learning Needs Report is not working as per function in LMS. 
• The Learning Needs report returns the learning needs of users. Learning needs are learning items or curricula. However, when we try to generate the report, it is even showing data of items which are already completed. 

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Navigate to Learning Administration > Reports > User Learning Needs (CSV).
2. Add user and generate the report. The report will display extra records of the item which is already been completed.
3. Go to that employee profile (proxy as employee or under Assigned Items), observe that the item cannot be seen as it is already completed.

• The discrepancy in the Learning Needs report and the user account is due to the fact that the Learning Needs report shows all the data in the Assignment details from (free floaters & assigned as part of program) and (Curricula items).
• However, the Assigned Items only shows items that are part of assigned programs currently and Hence we do not see this old revision there as its no longer associated to the program.

1. Schedule the "Curricula/ Program Maintenance" APM to remove any such old revision orphan records that are no longer associated to the program.
2. Run the above mentioned APM once in a while to clean up such data as there may be a lot of such records in the system. (Unless you have a good reason to schedule it differently, you can run the process daily at a time and time zone when most of your users aren’t on the system)
3. After running the APM, the record will be cleaned up and then the User learning needs report will not have the old revision entry too.
