3528727 - SDA connection to MS SQL Server failed due to an error "Login timeout expired"

Symptom

  • The connection to an MS SQL Server failed with an error below.
    • SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get remote source objects: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server]Login timeout expired
  • $LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable contains the path where MS SQL server ODBC driver is installed.
    • LD_LIBRARY_PATH = /usr/sap/HAN/HDB00/exe/krb5/lib/krb5/plugins/preauth:.........../opt/microsoft/msodbcsql17/lib64/:/opt/microsoft/msodbcsql/lib64/
  • The customer has already referred to KBA 2190798 - SDA connection error: SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get remote source objects: [unixODBC][Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server]Login timeout expired.
