3528963 - Catalog validation not working in MM and PM - SAP ERP & SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

"Validation" option is checked in MM Customizing for Web Services (OLME - Environment Data - Web Services: ID and Description) but price is not updated as expected when creating new purchase order with reference to old PR/PO after changing catalog price.

Same is experienced in PM transactions (e.g. IW31) if MM customizing is used according to SAP Note 3164695 - FAQ on Catalog Integration OCI.
