3529597 - "No goal creation option is available to you" message in Latest Goals after 2H 2024 release

After 2H 2024 release upgrade "No goal creation option is available to you. Please contact your administrator for help." message appears in Goals menu

SAP SuccessFactors Latest Goal Management

1. Go to Goals menu
2. Click  "Create Goal" button.
3. The following message is displayed "No goal creation option is available to you. Please contact your administrator for help."
4. You can't create a new goal

This system behaviour appears when all goal creation options are switched off in the system:

1. The turnoff-add-personal-goal-button switch is set to "on" in the goal plan template. Starting from 2H 2024 release the turnoff-add-personal-goal-button switch is now supported in the Latest Goal Management. This settings allows you to hide the "Create from Scratch" goal creation option for performance goals.  

Note: This settings might have been set to "on" long ago in Legacy goal management and with the 2H 2024 it will become active.

2. The Admin Center > Goal Management Feature Settings  > TGM/CDP Goal Transfer Wizard option is turned off, therefore you can't copy goals between goal plans.

3. No Goal Library content is mapped to the goal plan template, therefore you can't create goals from the library.

Set one or more goal creation options in the system:

• To disable the "Hide 'Create from Scratch' Option for Goal Creation" feature  please set turnoff-add-personal-goal-button switch to "off" in the goal plan template xml (Hide "Create from Scratch" Option for Goal Creation). Please raise a Support case for LOD-SF-GM-SCR component, if you don't have an Implementation Partner to change this setting for you.
• Enable Goal copying in the system  (Copy and Export of Goals)
• Map Goal library content to the goal plan template (Mapping of Goal Library Content to Goal Plans)
