• Text in Composite would not be translated in an optimized story after enabling the translation for both the Composite and Story

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.15.13

1. Log onto SAC
2. Create a Composite
3. Under File on the toolbar in this composite, click on Composite Settings-> Composite Details
4. On the following "Edit Details" panel, turn on the toggle "Enable translation", check the Source Language as "English" and click on OK
5. Save this Composite
6. Navigate to Translation, choose this Composite and click on the Edit button
7. On the following panel, change the Target Language to "简体中文" (Chinese) for example
8. Translate the text in this Composite on this panel and save it
9. Create an optimized story
10. Import this Composite into this story
11. Under File on the toolbar in this story, click on Story Settings-> Story Details
12. On the following "Story Details" panel, turn on the toggle "Enable Translation", check the Source Language as "English" and save it
13. Navigate to Translation, choose this story and click on the Edit button
14. On the following panel, change the Target Language to "简体中文" (Chinese) for example
15. Translate the text in this story on this panel and save it
16. Click on the Profile on the right upper corner and choose Profile Settings
17. On the following Profile Settings panel, change the Data Access Language as "简体中文“
18. Open the story again
19. In this story, observe that text in this story itself has been translated as defined. However, text in this Composite has not been translated and it still show as English

• The issue is caused by a defect in the product.

The issue is fixed and planned to be released in version 2024.21.
