Symptom
How the cost rate for the planned cost inside a work package of a commercial project is determined.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a customer/internal project using the app 'Plan Customer/Internal Project'.
- Create a role/demand for a resource inside a work package.
- The cost rate is maintained in the app 'Manage Cost Rates - Services'.
Resolution
The cost rate for a demand created in a work package is determined as follows:
The default cost center of the delivery org assigned to the demand is taken along with the activity type while fetching cost rate. If there is no delivery org, then the cost center of the project along with the activity type is taken into consideration for fetching cost rate.
If an employee is staffed then the cost center of the employee is taken into consideration along with the activity type for fetching the cost rate (provided the employee cost center is different).
