1. Follow the set up guide Setting Up Integration of Sales with External Buyers (2EL)

2. Trigger EDI output for Billing Document

3. EDI output not triggered, error message for output item - "No active outbound service for appl. obj. &&&&&&&&&, outp. type BILLING_DOCUMENT, BuPa &&&&&&&&&"

The error message indicates that no business partners are maintained in the communication system used. 

Review the configurations for Communication Systems step from Setup guide - Setting Up Integration of Sales with External Buyers (2EL).

Make sure to maintain the Business Partner number from the error message under Business Partner section for the respective Communication System used, choose Add to add the Business Partner ID of the invoice recipient, for example, 10100003.
