3530139 - Error on Completion of New Hire Data Review - Onboarding

An error occurs when completing the New Hire Data Review or when manually adding a candidate to onboarding. The error message displayed is:

"java.lang.IllegalStateException: java.lang.ClassCastException: class com.successfactors.hris.bean.eo.EmpEmploymentInfoEO$HibernateProxy$29aVV46v cannot be cast to class org.hibernate.proxy.LazyInitializer (com.successfactors.hris.bean.eo.EmpEmploymentInfoEO$HibernateProxy$29aVV46v and org.hibernate.proxy.LazyInitializer are in unnamed module of loader java.net.URLClassLoader @6b00f608)"

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Navigate to the Onboarding Dashboard
2. Attempt to complete the New Hire Data Review or manually add a candidate to onboarding.

The issue is caused by an unsupported rule active in the Onboarding context.

1. Navigate to Manage Business Configuration > entity in there the rule is configured.
2. Select Take Action > Make Correction.
3. Scroll down to the rules list.
4. Find the rule > Details > Context > Change "Onboarding" option to "No".

To identify the rule causing the issue, a ticket can be raised to support.
