3530305 - Resolving Duplicates in the SNAP Table During System Conversion to SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

During the Data Transfer Import (DT_IMP) phase of a system conversion to SAP S/4HANA, the following issue occurs:

  • The phase is unable to create a unique index due to duplicate entries in the SNAP table.
  • Despite deleting the existing duplicates, as stated in KBA 2262573 and 3465769, new entries are created continuously at a high rate .
  • The SUM (Software Update Manager) tool fails to create the index due to the violation of the unique constraint on the SNAP table.

Error Message:

Task failed with error: (HDB) DbSlExecute failed for DDL statement 'ALTER TABLE "SNAP"
ADD CONSTRAINT "SNAP~0" PRIMARY KEY ( "DATUM" , "UZEIT" , "AHOST" , "UNAME" , "MANDT" , "MODNO" , "SEQNO" )'
(HDB) dbrc = 26 'unique constraint violated'
