3530333 - Error "SCLM application is not configured in the current business tenant" in app "Manage Software Components" - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Get error message "SCLM application is not configured in the current business tenant" when opening application "Manage Software Components" or when creating Software Component in app "Manage Software Components".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enter the app "Manage Software Components".
  2. Click on the "Create" button.
  3. Fill in the "Namespace" field.
  4. Fill in the "Name" field .
  5. Fill in the "Description" field.
  6. Fill in the "Type" field.
  7. Click "Create".

Cause

The app is being used in the wrong system.

If the TDD system (Partner Demo Development Tenant) is being used, in this tenant only predefined Software Components exist and other software components cannot be created: 

  • Software Component ZPARTNER => Multi-Off Development
  • Software Component ZLOCAL => System Local Development which can not be transported or deployed

The option to create software components is only available with the Scalable Delivery | SAP Help Portal

Resolution

The app is only usable in the Development System.

Software components can only be created in Partner Add-On Development Tenant (DEV/080) for Scalable Delivery.
