3531186 - Integration and Importing with inactive Picklist values - Employee Central

• During the process of Employee Data Replication via the Business Integration Builder, the replication fails if the Employee have data for inactive values of the picklist in EC.
• The error message associated with this issue is "XXX is an invalid picklist value in import file or database for XXXX."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Conduct Employee Data Replication via the Business Integration Builder.
2. Attempt to replicate an employee who have inactive picklist values as current values.
3. Try manually import the data to validate issue on importing logic.

System does not support effectived dated picklists, so the import and integration logic uses the present active version of the picklist. When trying to import data of inactive picklist values system does not find correspondence with EC values and the import/integration crashes. 

This is the designed behavior of the system ight now. To  overcome this please keep values active for the picklist in employee central. You can suggest an enhancement for this feature as in 2090228 - How to submit enhancement ideas for SAP SuccessFactors Products.
