3531198 - Troubleshooting DROP privilege granted to a user on data preview of intermediate node for Auditing

Symptom

  • An issue was encountered while troubleshooting a failed audit report.
  • A user was found to have a higher privilege in the production database on an intermediate "data preview" node of a calculation view in SAP HANA.
  • The privilege was automatically granted and was not activated by the user.
  • Specifically the DROP privilege on an intermediate node is of concern
  • It seems to be provided by _SYS_REPO (STATEMENT_USER_NAME in AUDIT_LOG/SYSLOG)
