Inbound XML message failure for value mapping of region code with the error message "Inbound mapping failed for MDG_FND_REGION_CODE, value xx, list ID MDG_FND_REGION_CODE, agency IS_MDG ".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Replicate a business partner with the region codes within the country.
2. The outbound XML is generated successfully with the region code.
3. Inbound XML in receiver system failed with error message "Inbound mapping failed for MDG_FND_REGION_CODE, value xx, list ID MDG_FND_REGION_CODE, agency IS_MDG" is displayed.

Incomplete configuration for the value mapping.

Refer below steps for maintaining region codes:

1. Go to the 'Maintain Value Mapping' app.
2. Navigate to the assign code lists & global data type - MDG_FND_REGION_CODE.
3. Assign code lists values.
4. After assigning the values, set the flag to 'No Map'.

Note : If the value mapping is already maintained in the source system, the target system can directly use the mapped and processed value. In this case, the mapping flag in the target system should be set to “No Map”, so that the value from the source is taken.
