Symptom

"Access to the path specified by the connection is not permitted. Contact your administrator" error happens when trying to create a connection to File Server in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.15.16
  • Linux for cloud agent

Reproducing the Issue

Cause

This error is caused by missing configuration for Tomcat Java options.

Resolution

In Linux, please go to bin in the Tomcat and great a setenv.sh and copy this in:
#!/bin/sh
CATALINA_OPTS="-DSAP_CLOUD_AGENT_FILE_SERVER_WHITELIST_PATH=/opt/XXX/whitelist.txt -DSAP_CLOUD_AGENT_FILE_SERVER_EXPORT_WHITELIST_PATH=/opt/XXX/whitelist.txt"
