Symptom

During the SUM phase PREP_INPUT_KERNEL/SUBMOD_KERNEL_SCAN_TOOLCHK_INP/SUBMOD_KERNEL_SCAN_TOOLCHK_NONSERIAL/KERNEL_EXE an error occurs:

For the DMO procedure to target database HDB, no suitable SAP Kernel could be found in the download
directory "<directory>".


Before you continue, check the attributes of the SAP Kernel archives in the download directory and
make sure that the "<archive>" Kernel archive meets the PAM requirements for your selected target
release <rel> and is available.


For more information, see phase log file "KERNELINP.LOG".

In KERNELINP.LOG, you may come across messages like the following:

2 ETQ399 Archive <path to>/SAPEXEDB_101-70007806.SAR has wrong OS type 'linuxx86_64' (requesting 'NTAMD64').
2 ETQ399 Archive <path to>/SAPEXE_101-70007807.SAR has wrong OS type 'linuxx86_64' (requesting 'NTAMD64').
