3532620 - Searching Employee Names in Global Search bar Goes directly to People Profile After H2 2024

Symptom

After 2411 release, when the user clicks on an employee's name in the global search, they will be directed to the People Profile.

Previously when the user clicks on an employee's name, it showed Quick Card.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. login b2411 instance.
  2. search username in global search bar, click or enter.
  3. redirect to the people profile.

Cause

This is an expected behavior change after 2H 2024 release.

Resolution

After 2411 release, when clicking the user name in global search will redirect to people profile.

Users still can click the card icon on the right to open Spotlight or Quick Card.
