3532631 - Error V2015 When Creating Sales Order with Reference to Contract due to reference status inconsistency

Symptom

  • When attempting to create a sales order with reference to a contract, an error message V2015 is encountered which indicates that "The reference has already been completely copied or rejected".
  • The issue occurs despite the fact that the reference status at the item level (VBAP-RFSTA) is set to 'A', which should allow the creation of a sales order with reference to the item.
  • However, the reference status at the header level (VBAK-RFSTA) is set to 'C', which indicates that the reference status has already been completed and does not allow the creation of a sales order with reference to the contract.
