It's noticed for materials with price control S and price determination 3, for previous period, the price control was changed to V. It's not clear about the reason.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Cause
If scope item 33Q is active, actual costing will be applicable in the system.
In app Edit Actual Costing Runs, check F1 help for indicator "Revaluate Material" in step Post Closing:
"
If you set this indicator, the system uses the periodic unit price that was calcualted by the last price determination for the material to revaluate the material stock of the previous period. The system converts the price control of the relevant materials from S to V in the previous period.
"
Resolution
It's standard system design.
If further posting is needed in previous period, the Post Closing needs to be reversed first.
