3533256 - Server side integration does not sync users with custom roles in the involved party of appointments when syncing to outlook

Symptom

Adding user with custom role in an appointment "involved party" will not make this user an attendee of this appointment when synced to outlook using server side integration.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create an appointment and do not add an attendee
  2. Once appointment is created add a user to the involved party section of the created appointment with a custom role
  3. Sync this appointment to Outlook
  4. There is no attendee present inside the appointment

Cause

The server side sync engine will only look at the "Attendee" role from an appointment in C4C, the rest of the roles are not relevant to server side integration. Hence, when the involved party consists of a user with role "Attendee" this will get updated and a meeting with this attendee is created in outlook. However, if you add no attendee to an appointment, the sync engine will create an appointment without any attendee's

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior
