3533367 - Window AD manual login fails Intermittently

Symptom

  • Manual login with Windows AD user fails intermittently fails from both Bi launchpad and CMC .

  • While trying to login to SAP BusinessObjects with Active Directory credentials, users receive the below error:

    "Account Information Not Recognized: The Active Directory Authentication plugin could not authenticate at this time. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact your technical support department. (FWM00005)"

    Example failure:
    >>> KrbKdcReq send: kdc=XXXXX.com. TCP:XX, timeout=30000, number of retries =3, #bytes=137
    >>> KDCCommunication: kdc=XXXXX.com. TCP:XX, timeout=30000,Attempt =1, #bytes=137
    >>> KrbKdcReq send: error trying XXXXX.com:XX
    java.net.UnknownHostException: XXXXX.com.
