3533402 - Is it possible to prevent users from editing Data Access Control's columns (Write/Read) in the model? - SAP Analytics Cloud

• You want to prevent users from editing data from the Write/Read columns added to the model when Data Access Control (DAC) is enabled.
• You want users to edit all columns other than Write and Read columns in the model.

Consider that you have enabled DAC already:

1. Open the model you want to edit;
2. Notice that there are two editable columns (Write/Read) available in the model other than the data itself.

This is currently by design. It is not possible to set restrictions at a column level in SAC Modeler.

• Data Access Control will only define what portion of information an user can see at Story level.
• In order to restrict editing, you need to restrict edit permissions for the whole Model.
