3533508 - DB6: SQL5154N error when changing TRUST_ALLCLNTS and TRUST_CLNTAUTH

Symptom

SQL5154N error occurs when attempting to change DB2 parameters TRUST_ALLCLNTS and TRUST_CLNTAUTH as follows:

  • UPDATE DBM CFG USING TRUST_ALLCLNTS NO
    SQL5154N  The requested combination of configuration values for 
    "authentication" and "trust_allclnts" is not allowed. Reason code = "1".

 

  • UPDATE DBM CFG USING TRUST_CLNTAUTH SERVER
    SQL5154N  The requested combination of configuration values for 
    "authentication" and "trust_clntauth" is not allowed. Reason code = "1".

  • The error message displayed is "SQL5154N The requested combination of configuration values for 'authentication' and 'trust_allclnts' is not allowed. Reason code = '1'." and "SQL5154N The requested combination of configuration values for 'authentication' and 'trust_clntauth' is not allowed. Reason code = '1'."
