Cause
Procedure When Creating Material Cost Estimate
Controls whether a material with this material status in its material master record is costed. The material status also controls whether the system issues a warning or an error message in the case of costing with errors when the material is used in further cost estimates.
Example
- Material is to be costed
If the material is successfully costed, its cost estimate is assigned the status KA (costed without errors).
- If the material was costed with errors and its cost estimate is used in a cost estimate for a higher-level material, you can control whether the system:
-
- Issues a warning message
-
- In this case, the cost estimate for the higher-level material can be assigned the status
-
- Issues an error message
-
- In this case, the cost estimate for the higher-level material is assigned the status
- Material is not to be costed
- If a material is not costed, its standard price remains unchanged.
Resolution
1. Navigate to configuration "Define Material Statuses" (SSCUI 102618).
2. Select specific 'Material Status' for modification.
