3533588 - Missing 'Smart Insights' Feature in SAP Analytics Cloud Story Optimized view experience

Symptom

  • 'Smart Insights' feature is not available in the story
  • In Optimized view experience, 'Smart Insights' button is missing when opening the context menu to a chart

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Enterprise 2024

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to SAC.
  2. Create a new story by Optimized View Experience.
  3. Create a new chart in the story, eg. line chart, or bar chart.
  4. Click the ... button to open the menu, Smart Insights is not available.

Cause

  • Before 2025 Q2, 'Smart Insights' feature was only available in Classic view experience story.
  • Smart Insights is implemented in SAC Q2 2025 as per Smart Insights - SAP Road Map Explorer. 
  • Smart Insight doesn't work in Optimized view experience which is enabled from Classic Story.

Resolution

Smart Insights is implemented in SAC Q2 2025 as per Smart Insights - SAP Road Map Explorer. Currently, it is not supported in Optimized View Experience, as per Unsupported Features: Smart Features | SAP Help Portal.
