3533913 - Authentication Failure in Email Sender Adapter Connection to Mail Server

Symptom

While you attempt to connect to the Mail server (via M365) from BTP-CPI to read emails and extract attachments you see error below:

  • The error message displayed is: [CONTENT][CONTENT_DEPLOY][InstanceError] : {"message":"POLL_FAILED","[{"message":"EXCEPTION","parameters":["javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: AUTHENTICATE failed."]}]}


The OAuth configuration for M365 scope is already set to http://graph.microsoft.com/Mail.ReadWrite.Shared
