3534309 - Document Generation - Placeholder break line - Employee Central

Symptom

It is not possible to set break lines in placeholders when creating a document through Manage Document Template.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Document Template with placeholders.
  2. Create mapping for the placeholders.
  3. When generating the document, the placeholders that have long values do not break lines, creating misalignments in the document content.

Cause

Product limitation.

Breaking the value of a placeholder into multiple lines cannot be done with Document Generation.

Placeholders are not meant for long texts.

Resolution
