Symptom
You want to know the difference between Expected Value and Total Negotiated Value on the Opportunity.
Environment
- SAP Sales Cloud Version 2
- SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the navigation menu.
- Select Guided Selling view.
- In the view, locate and open the desired Opportunity.
- See the fields Expected Value and Total Negotiated Value.
Resolution
The definitions of Expected Value and Total Negotiated Value are as follows:
Expected Value:
- This represents the estimated or tentative revenue expected from the Opportunity.
- It is maintained in the Opportunity header manually.
Total Negotiated Value:
- This is a value that is calculated automatically based on the sum of all line items.
- Users cannot update this field manually, as it is aggregated from the Product Negotiated Value set for each product in the Opportunity.
