3535535 - Screen flickering in the New Redesigned Workbench - Recruiting Management

This article describes a known issue where the screen flickers for a few seconds when opening an application or moving a candidate to another status in the New Redesigned Workbench, as well as when navigating on the different Application tabs:

Scenario 1:

1. Go to Recruiting > Job Requisitions.
2. Open any Application in the New Redesigned Workbench.
3. The screen flickers for 1-2 seconds.

Scenario 2:

1. Move any applicant to another status.
2. The screen flickers for a few seconds.

Scenario 3: 

1. Open any Application in the New Redesigned Workbench.
2. Navigate to any of the tabs in the application.
3. The screen flickers for a few seconds.

Note: When doing a batch move, there's no flicker that can be observed. However, when you open one application and move it from one status to another, the flicker is more apparent. 

This was targeted to be fixed on 2H 2024 Production but the issue is still happening. 

After investigation by engineering the issue is occurring to due to the overall design of the latest applicant workbench.

After looking into an issue related to the application details view flickering while the various sections on a given tab were loaded. Due to the presence of multiple api calls to serve the required data for each portlet we observed that the layout shift on the page being unreasonable - causing the user to observe a large number of back to back flicker. This led to the assumption that the page was not working seamlessly. 

The issue will require an overhaul of the page and multiple development teams and Product Management involvement to review and prevent.

The issue is taken as an enhancment under the number RCM-148747 and is planned for 2511 release. Please note that the planned release may change based on progress.
