3535731 - Publish is not updating records in Employee Profile

Records in Employee Profile are not updating when doing Publish in Compensation

1. You have completed the form with all the necessary information;
2. Go to compensation Home > Select the template > Complete Compensation Cycle > Publish data 
3. Publish looks successful, but looking into Employee Profile the records did not update. 

Publish not working may be caused by several things, in this KBA we'll focus on XML template. Refer to "See also" to see other KBAs related to reasons that Publish may not work.  

In the XML file there are several "comp-ect-output-component-group" and the system may not read it correctly. 

To download the XML:

1. Go to Compensation Home;
2. Select template;
3. Plan Setup > Settings > Advanced Settings > Download Form Template

When download completes open the file and search for "comp-ect-output-component-group". See in the below screenshot there is one "comp-ect-output-component-group" for each field. 

You may group all fields with the same ComponentType, eventReason and effectiveDate under one "comp-ect-output-component-group", check screenshot below:
